OUR PROGRAMS:
All of our programs are operated off of the same mentality, “Quality, not Quantity.” At KCK we keep our numbers at a very controllable level as we work through a 4-6 month waiting list, on average. While keeping our numbers low we are able to really fine-tune each dog to help them reach their potential in a timely manner. Each dog is treated as part of our family, and we grow a special relationship with every dog that comes through our program. All of these things are very essential for success and something that sets us apart from other kennels/trainers across the Country.
Obedience Course
The key to any successful training program is a sound obedience. At KCK we strive to bring out the best in every dog while maintaining a positive attitude. Our obedience program is a two month ‘board and train’ style program and will give you all of the tools to handle and operate your dog off-leash in any environment!
Obedience Lessons
Hesitant on sending your companion off for 2 months? Our one on one lessons may be just what you and your dog need. These lessons are designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and structure for you and your pet to be successful. They can be conducted at our facility or at the comfort of your dogs own home! We do one scheduled lesson per week and progress until our goals are met together!
Started Gundog
Our started gundog program is 4 months long with the first 2 months consisting of obedience. The next 2 month are tailored to that specific dogs needs in the field to bring them to their potential as a hunting dog and to meet the customers needs and goals. This program will give you and your dog the tools to operate successfully in the field on “mark” retrieves, which are birds your dog sees fall.
Finished Gundog
Our finished gundog program is 8 months long with the first 4 months consisting of obedience and basic gundog. The next 4 months are spent teaching your dog how to sit on the whistle and take a hand signal on land and water. This program will give you and your dog the tools to be successful in any hunting environment where your dog may see the birds fall or they may not. This is our most popular program as we have produced some of the best Finished Gundogs in the country.
UKC hunt test competitions
This program is for dogs that we have trained and evaluated and believe are capable of running in these events. There is not a definite time frame on this level of training. It depends on multiple factors and obviously the dog itself. Please contact us for more information about timing and how the competition training works!
